Helsinki-based construction management start-up VisiLean is proud to announce that it won the Innovation of the Year award for BIM and Project Planning Solutions at the Construction Computing Awards held in central London last week.
The award was decided by a panel of judges who were particularly impressed with the efficiency of the tool that helps construction companies achieve significant savings, improve trust between partners and help deliver projects safely and within target costs. The judges also highlighted the direct integration of the collaborative planning workflow with BIM and tipped the software as “one to watch”.
VisiLean, which has offices in Helsinki, London, and Ahmedabad, provides a 4D lean construction solution with last-planner implementation for project-based management. The tool also enables real-time tracking of construction activities through mobile apps and dashboards, bridging the much-talked-about gap between the field and the office.
Dr. Bhargav Dave, CEO of VisiLean, comments;
The award is a recognition of our deep expertise in the field of lean construction, BIM and digitisation and the hard work and perseverance of the entire team. It was our first nomination and we believe that we have much more to contribute to the field.
Kevin McHugh, Associate Director with Mace Technology Ireland (Mace have recently integrated VisiLean into their business and is a partner in the case study), said
The project has benefited from the increased collaboration of the work crews digitally. VisiLean has helped improve the co-ordination required for the preparation and execution of weekly work assignments which improves the safety and quality of the planned works
